Hi, I'm currently an incoming freshman trying to major in pre-dentistry. I looked up requirements of most dental schools and they only require college Calculus class. (The one right after pre-calculus) I was wondering if I really only need math courses up to calculus or would it be better to take higher math courses. I took Calculus AP in senior year and I didn't take AP test. So obviously, I'm taking Calculus again in college, but I did horrible in pre-calculus class when I was a junior as well (b/c of high school transfer, I didn't go to school for like 2 months). So I'm thinking maybe I can take pre-calculus class as well in college. Would it really matter if I take pre-calculus in college again, and take calculus afterward? or should I take calculus and go for higher courses? Is college pre-calculus different from Precalculus GT in high school?

ps. My school, UMBC, said that Math 150, 151 are required for pre-dentistry. math 150 being pre-calculus, and 151 being calculus. the link:UMBC: Undergraduate Admissions. Learn/Majors/Education. I would be appreciated if someone can explain what english class is like as well. Thank you.
