Pre-dentistry vs Pre-med

<p>I was just wondering the competitiveness of Pre-dentistry vs Pre-med and the selectivity of the schools in general. I have heard that Pre-dentistry is very cutt-throat because the limited number of seats available but I didn't know if Pre-med was more or less so because the large number of applicants and also larger number of medical schools.</p>

<p>On an absolute scale medical school is harder to get into. On a relative scale of the applicant populations they are both quite competitive.</p>

<p>Premed and predent undergrads will be taking the same prerequisite courses together. There are no sections of orgo chemistry reserved for predent students for example.</p>
