I am an incoming freshman interested in business, and I was looking for some insight on the Haas application process and what to keep in mind going into the year. I know it is very competitive, so I just want to make sure that I have the best chance of getting in. I plan on being involved in a few organizations that interest me, but I heard that joining Hass Sponsored Organizations and Business Frats helps tremendously in the application process, is that true? Some Business Frats have acceptance rates of 95%, but I am not too sure if I would want to join a Frat. How much value do they hold going forward? I plan to party, but I don’t think that the business frats necessarily need to be the pathway for that.
Frats associated with a major aren’t the same as social frats, and could very well give you a boost when applying to Haas. What frats in general do offer is connections, which could come in very handy when hitting the job market. D is in the competitive marketing club, which is full of pre-Haas and Haas-ites. She remembers the newbies scrambling to get into various business frats.
