Pre-internship from UK to U.S.?

Hi everyone! I’m an italian student who will start in a few weeks the first year of Business Management in the UK. I was thinking of doing a Summer Internship/Pre-internship. Would it be possible to apply for a summer internship in the US even though I am currently studying in the UK?
