Hello guys. I have a question is that when I applied to UC Davis for pre-landscape architecture, it was asking for a supplemental portfolio application that MUST submit in February in order for consideration to change into Landscape Architecture. I went online a lot but still didn’t find what are they talking about: major supplement portfolio? Where can I find it? Is it an essay prompt or? Thank you guys! I really appreciated the help/
Are you applying as a freshman or a transfer student? I don’t have first hand experience but if you go to the website, it says that portfolios are no longer required. https://humanecology.ucdavis.edu/portfolio-application-process
they are probably looking for some physical representation of your work. (photos, drawings, etc) But, I’d call or visit and ask for specifics or samples.
good luck
More information:
All students begin their studies by majoring in either Pre-Landscape Architecture, Sustainable Environmental Design, or other major, until they have completed all of the lower division preparatory coursework and have been offered placement in the upper division Landscape Architecture major.
The program accepts around 36 students into the junior class each year. These students have completed all of the preparatory coursework needed to succeed in the major and in the profession. Students are expected to maintain a major GPA of 3.0 or above. Students who have a background in art or design can submit their portfolio application at any time and, while offered acceptance into the major, will still need to complete the preparatory courses before pursuing upper division coursework in Landscape Architecture.
You need to be accepted to UC Davis and the Pre-Landscape Architecture program first. I would look at the information posted but it is not something you need to worry about yet as an applicant.
