What is a pre-major? I got accepted to a school for Biomedical engineering ‘pre-major’. I was sort of confused what that meant.
I’m pretty sure it just means that you have to take the pre requisite classes for engineering and get a certain gpa to enter the BMe curriculum. You are still in the Coe with an engineering advisor.
My brother is a sophomore engineering physics major right now at OSU… basically, every incoming first-year engineering student is considered “pre-major”. At the end of your first year at Ohio State, you apply to the actual COE and be accepted - after you complete your pre-major requirement classes.
okay, i get it. I was just curious bc it sort of disuades me to attend osu bc i have been accepted to other better schools that have offered me major in bme. But osu has offered me a lot of scholarship and the scholars program. Is the risk too high bc there is a chance i may not get into the bme major in osu?
Wait, how do you know if you were accepted as as ‘pre-major’?
they tell you when you in your acceptance
