Pre-Med and College decisions questions

Hey I haven't used these boards in a while, probably should've. Anyway, here is my dilemma. I have long dropped the quest for Ivy League and am just looking for something that I can achieve. I want to go into Pre Med and I've looked at these colleges and places so far:

Penn State
University of Pittsburgh
Johns Hopkins

Any other good recommendations work as well. My real question is how hard is it to get in. As in what scores are needed GPA, ACT, SAT wise. All the boards I've searched seem to show just how to get into the university or college but not how the scores need to be accepted into Pre Med. Hell I'm not sure about the whole process going into Pre Med. I'm currently going to be a senior and I'm going to retake my SATs. Also, if my chances aren't good what other alternatives are there to be ultimately become a doctor?

GPA: 4.0
APs Taken: Biology, Chemistry, Calculus AB, Macroeconomics
APs Scheduled to take: Statistics, Physics, English
Hospital volunteer, piano, band (alto saxophone)

That's just a brief look into it all because anymore and I should post into the what are my chances area. I know I would be able to get into Penn and Pitt fairly easy from where I'm standing but I don't know how my chances are w/ the Pre Med area. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I'm already feeling crunchtime. Oh yeah I'm Asian too : P

well you didn't post up a lot of info. about yourself, but for Johns Hopkins, it seems like you're a good candidate, you just need to portray yourself well in the application process, make sure you do well on apps

You need to apply to go into the Premed area? Don't you just decide that and then take the classes necessary for it? And then apply to med schools with MCAT, have a good science GPA, etc. etc.?

Yeah, you don't apply to a premed program, just the college

Just get into the college first. Every college has a pre-med program. A pre-med program is a set of required classes you must take in order to be eligible for applying to medical school. Seriously, your undergraduate school doesnt make that big of a different in med. school admissions.
