Anybody have any experience with this? How was the rigor, and did you enjoy it?
I want to go to medical school in the future, but don’t want to major in Biology or something traditionally paired with pre-med. I like economics, and would like to hear some feedback if you majored/are majoring in Economics while one a Pre-Med track in college.
Any other students who are majoring in something not traditionally paired with Pre-Med are also welcome to contribute.
Thanks!
Kat’s son was an econ major. He’s enrolled in a MBA/MD program. My older daughter was a physics & math double major; she’s a MS4 who will graduate in May. My younger daughter was a math & neuroscience double major; she’s MS1. Mom2’s son was a Chem E major. He’s a MS2.
It’s more than possible to major in something other than bio or chem and still apply/matriculate to med school. You just need to plan your coursework carefully or consider applying to med school after graduation and taking a glide year.
