Pre-Med and Management Consulting at UChicago

I really like UChicago, including the intellectual atmosphere of the school and also the city of Chicago's culture, and am thinking about applying early. How is the pre-med advising at the school? I've heard that if you go to a school like Princeton, Columbia, Penn or UofC, the name-brand doesn't play a big role in any sort of GPA adjustment. How is UChicago's med school placement and advising overall?

I'm also considering management consulting as a possible career. How is UofC in this regard? Do all the major firms, namely Mckinsey, Bain and BCG, come to recruit students? I know Chicago is a major hub for consulting.

bump I’m interested in this as well.

To answer the consulting question: Bain and BCG both have on-campus information sessions, etc., while McKinsey doesn’t. So it’s a target for 2/3 (and probably all 3 if you take classes at Booth through UCIB, though I’m not sure if college students can use Booth recruiting resources… probably not, but it would most likely increase your chances).
