Pre-med and Psychology

So I'm planning on doing pre-med, and chose to major in psychology. I know that pre-med students can major in anything, but I'm a big concerned about my back-up plans in case I don't end up accepted into medical school. Anyone on the same boat or is currently a Cal student doing psycho and pre-med? Any advice?

First, you should know that statistically, you are more likely to self-select yourself out of the premed path, AKA choose another career path rather than apply to medical schools and be rejected entirely.

You have to think what you would do if you decided you didn’t want to be a doctor, would you pick another health professional route? (Dentist, optometrist, podiatrist etc) OR, would you choose a career entirely different from the healthcare field (Law, Finance, Consulting, Politics etc.)

Then, once you know what you would do if you would not be a doctor, think if a degree in psychology would best prepare you for those careers.
