Hey! I toured Agnes Scott the other day and it looks wonderful! How is the pre-med program? It seems like a college that is stronger in arts and english and liberal art subjects, so I'm not so sure if its a good match for me or not. Also, as a resident of GA, a GPA of 93 and an SAT score of 2020, can I get a good scholarship other than the GA Hope one they offer?

Agnes Scott has a lot of premed students. Do you know about their GEMS program? If not, do a search on their website. You would definately want to particpate.GEM students come to campus early the summer prior to fall semester and take a science class (maybe 2?) - they network as a community and there are many perks for them. It is designed for sicence majors like yourself.

Also, living in Georgia I’m sure you have heard a lot about the CDC. But you might not realize that internships at the CDC are very competitive and hard to come by. Agnes Scott has an arrangement with the CDC, however, where they set aside a certain number of internships just for their students. Huge plus for pre med students.

Also, you might be interested to know that Agnes Scott now has a Public Health major (in addition to the minor offered).

Your SAT is competitive. The Agnes Solution is offered to all HOPE scholars and it is a significant scholarship - but you might also be eligable for additional aid. That would be a question for admissions.

There is also a pre med club. and special advisment for pre med students. I think you would find that the college would prepare you well.

Thank you Pearl. I hope I get a great scholarship so I can perhaps attend.

Do you attend Agnes Scott college?

My daughter attends - she is a sophmore.

I got in! I just hope I get great Financial Aid !
