<p>Does anyone know how pre-med is at Lehigh ? How well does Lehigh prepare its pre med students for med School and for the MCATS? What is the percentage of students in the pre med program who actually get into med school? How many pre med students are enrolled at Lehigh?</p>
<p>It's hard to say how many pre-med majors there are. There is no "pre-med" major. Students major in a number of different areas. The published statistics say that about 40 apply every year. I DON'T think this includes the students in the seven year Lehigh-Drexel program. Another statistic said that in 2003, 88% of students applying with a GPA of >3.47 got in to an american medical school.
My daughter is a Behavioral Neuroscience major and wants to go to med school. A "few" years ago, I was a freshman med student and Lehigh had its combined program with the Medical College of PA -- now Drexel College of Medicine. The Lehigh students were well prepared then. Judging from the published acceptance rate, I don't think that has changed.</p>
