someone please enlighten me about the pre-med program, i have no idea! i dont no whether to go to uga, ga tech, or utk. which pre-med program is better?? i haven't heard great things about ga teach, but i haven't heard anything about uga? whats acceptance rate to medical school like, and what kind of medical schoools? good ones?

please... anyone?

ga tech is only good for computer stuff. hence.....tech. go to uga. im majoring in computer science so i dont kno how theire premed is. maybe u should call and ask. or visit depending on where u live.

Many of the biomedical engineering undergrads at Gtech are premed. You will get a more liberal arts education at UGA. you will get higher grades at uga too. However the med schools know what it takes at tech and uga so if you do well comparitively at either you will be ok. Your medical school admission test and gpa will show them if you can make it.

Actually, UGA has an extremely good pre-med program that a lot of students are involved in. The genetics program is very strong and there are plentiful research opportunities. If you want a better environment to learn in, I'd recommend UGA over Tech any day.

If you want a better place to party, go to UGA. Study and learn, GT Tech.
Many friends and family went to both and the general feeling about UGA is way too many get caught up in the drinking and partying. Why do you think most other schools and fans dislike GA fans so much. More interested in the social than the eduactional.

UGA isn't really a party school anymore. It's large enough that you can customize your experience; If you hang out with people who study hard, then you would do well. If you hang out with those who party more than study, than you might not do so well there. Both schools are good, but i don't know too much about their pre-med programs.

Both schools have an acceptance of around 40-45% just above the national average.
