<p>my friend tells me utd is pretty close to the top of the list of pre-med schools in the state of texas. rice, austin college, and maybe ut austin beats it. the dallas area has a wide selection of hospitals to volunteer and intern at. and a 78% acceptance rate into medical school. plus, southwestern medical school is in downtown dallas. besides the fact that the campus is pretty bad and not a lot of back-up plans if you decide to drop out of pre-med, i dont see how its a bad school for pre-med. comments anyone?</p>
<p>I've been hearing many different things about the Pre-med program at UTD as I've been considering pursuing it there. I read in a previous forum that 78% of pre-med students get accepted from UTD into med school. Other than that, I honestly have no idea.</p>
