I was thinking of Wake as a possible choice. How popular is the pre med program? How large are all thie Bio and Chem intro courses? ARe the professors accessible? What is the recent acceptance rate into US medical schools from their grads over the last few years?
Wake Forest gets a mention in an online list, “The Experts’ Choice: Colleges with Great Pre-Med Programs.” Depending on the methodology of the compilation, this may relate positively to your question.
thank you … I willl look that up!

Wake’s own med school was #7 most selective in 2015 ranking, http://www.usnews.com/education/best-graduate-schools/the-short-list-grad-school/articles/2015/03/31/10-medical-schools-that-are-most-competitive-for-applicants
I had friends who were freshmen, now they’re doctors. I had friends who were freshmen and wanted to be doctors and are not. It’s hard, overall acceptance rates to med school is less than 3%. Wake is hard, I had lots of friends who went to med school, but not all of them will. That’s probably good actually since not everyone should be a doctor who thinks they want to be at age 18. Work hard, find out if you enjoy it. get advice early and you have a good shot at it if it’s really what you want.
