Lots of ppl say that you don't have to be a science major to get into med school. I am thinking of majoring in MCB but I am remed.... people are always telling me that MCB is very hard...so I am thinking of Nutritional Sciences... as a major. But don't Med Schools also look at your Junior classes? Doesn't Upper Div Science classes make you more competitive? What should I do?

Start reading the pre-med topics on CC and see what they have to say- any major will do, and not MCB is even more interesting- unless MCB is your passion

Well, I don’t know where they get this (or how current it is, for that matter), but:

“According to Harvard Alumni Magazine, literature majors outnumber Biology majors for admittance to medical schools in the United States”
(I found that on a UCSD site)

So, I guess it’s true, ne?

One or two upper division science classes, which you could easily fit into a humanities curriculum, will make you more competitive. Ten of them at the expense of making you cookie cutter will not.
