I've been working on finalizing a college list.

I want to go into something pre-med (biochemistry or such) and I'm looking at colleges where I can get a good education but also get some major merit money.

Basically my stats are:

Unweighted GPA of 4.0
ACT score of 36 (35E, 36M, 35R, 36S)
Good ECs.

Here are the schools I am considering:
Duke
NYU
Northeastern
Tulane
WUStL
Georgetown?
UChicago
OSU
Case
Johns Hopkins
NEOUCOM??
UMich

I'm from Northeastern Ohio. I'm wondering if anyone has any insight as to any other good schools I should consider for a good education with MONEY. =) Thank you.

UChicago gives merit money, but not widespread. No harm in trying, though.

WashU tends to be extremely generous with merit money (at least that's what happened with some of my admitted friends), and I imagine that Northeastern, Tulane, OSU, and Case, and possibly NYU will dump piles of money on you.

good suggestion-- I know a bunch of full-tuition Ricers who were swayed away from MIT, Harvard, etc. I also think that Rice tends to be more generous to non-Texans-- they're trying to shake their image as a regional school.
