I'm a member of the class of 2013. Can anyone post perhaps a sample curriculum/schedule of what they did to meet their pre med requirements (and what year they took the classes)? It would be really helpful. I'm trying to form a basic plan of what courses I should take and when. :)

Hi! I am a fellow 2013 pre-med

You’ll find the following link EXTREMELY useful. Pages 10 & 11 answer your question specifically, but I recommend you read the entire thing.

http://www.ocs.fas.harvard.edu/students/careers/medicine/premedguide09.pdf

thanks you’ll see!

i’m looking through the link right now. i also found another premed guide by the harvard pre med society which basically has letters from students about med school–applying, handling requirements, etc. there are tons of courses that fill the various requirements for med school… and i was just wondering which would be the best class to take.

here’s the schedule i’m looking at for the fall:
math 21a (most likely)
expos 20/freshman seminar
spanish (not sure which one)
life sciences 1a

the freshman seminar, i hear, isn’t required but is supposed to be a terrific class. will you be taking it?

ALSO, did you fill your language requirement?

i’m not too sure about the life sciences 1a part… that’s what i’m trying to figure out–which class i should take. do you have any idea which one you’re going to take?

hmm, our schedules look almost identical.

life sciences 1a
expos 20
Freshman Seminar (Neurotoxicology, hopefully)
Spanish Aa (I didn’t take a lang. placement exam b/c I wanted to switch from French to spanish).

There are about 130 Freshman Seminars from which to choose. They are graded pass/fail.
