<p>I know that pre meds are suspposed to take biology, gen chem, organic chem, and physics. What other classes are not required, but recommended and would help on the mcats?</p>
<p>Many schools have requirements or strongly encourage courses in Biochem and genetics. Genetics will help on the MCAT - the proportion of molecular biology (DNA/RNA/protein/etc) is gradually increasing.</p>
<p>Almost all schools that I know of require Calc I, english, and several semesters worth of humanities courses (9-12 hours).</p>
