Pre-med/dent at UIUC? (OOS)

Hey guys, I'm a rising senior from a top public school in the south. The high school I go to is considered one of the most rigorous in the state and has been named a blue ribbon school a few years in a row. I wanted to know how competitive the pre-med/dent classes are at UIUC. My stats:
GPA: 3.8 uw
ACT: 29
Class rank: top 10%
I have SEVERAL leadership positions and ECs which include sports, cultural and language clubs, community service, biology TA, and student ambassador. (There are more.) I have taken college level classes for 3 years. These are not college-prep classes, but are the actually college courses one would take at a university, such as ENG110, BIO101, CL CHEM II, etc.
I would like to know what my chances of admittance are and how the pre-med classes are. Are they cutthroat and competitive? I plan on being a Psychology major. I made the mistake of going to a ridiculously competitive school once, but I do not wish to make that mistake again. I know that you need the best grades possible for medical/dental school.

Thanks!

Bump… anyone? Please, I need some feedback!

Since psychology is in the LAS, with your stats you will have no problem getting in. If you increase your ACT score, you have a better chance of qualifying for OOS scholarship, so if you have a chance you should definitely try and work on it.

The science courses at UIUC are difficult, but that’s the case with most universities. If you put in the work, you should be well prepared to do well on the MCAT and have a strong GPA.
