i want to be a pre-med student, but i heard the program is pretty competitive to get into?

i don’t have any sat scores yet, as i’m a junior, but right now i’m looking at a 3.8 unweighted GPA for my years in high school.

i would never double major if i get into pre-med, but if i don’t i might want to look at it, has anyone done this?

There’s different ways to be Pre-med. You can apply for the very competitive Accelerated 7-year Pre-Med program that goes with BU Medical School too, or you can choose a major like Biology, Chemistry, or virtually anything while taking Pre-med requirements. You’d get an advisor. Since you seem uncertain, the second path would probably be a better route for you. You could test the Pre-med waters, and change your major easily if you decide it’s not for you. The sciences at BU do weed out pre-med kids early. I wasn’t one myself, but I have friends in it.

Double-majoring is very common here. Some things would be hard, but many combos are possible. Do well on your AP tests now if you have the option available to you. The credit will start you ahead of the game and help tremendously with whatever you want to do.

Thanks for the response!
