i've read a lot of stories and heard too from friends that hopkin's premed track is hard core. Many students eventually transfer to other fields afterwards. So my question to you all is, how hard (please ELABORATE) are the pre-med classes in the first place?? I want to end up seeing myself in medical school in time, so i don't want to go to a school that makes me deter my interest because it decreased my gpa. I'm highly interested in medicine (in fact I'm very true to this subject); therefore, I'm not asking the level of difficulty/easiness in a school; just only how the environment of the whole campus is. Please help me out; my college list will be meaningless if I have to compile one that has a non-happy and non-interesting pre-med track. An honest opinion wouldn't hurt lol. :)

I don’t think Pre-Med at Hopkins is any harder than anywhere else. I do think that you are among the best pre-meds in the US if you’re at Hopkins. That means the students are exceptionally brilliant, interested in research and involved students in their communities. The students at Hopkins are very motivated and the faculty, rightfully, have high expectations for the students. It’s a big pond but the preparation is second-to-none. It’s a collaborative environment on campus in a “students-versus-exams” mode which allows students to try to out-smart the exams - this means studying together and doing problem sets in small groups.
