Pre-med GT v UGA

Which school has a friendlier Pre-med curriculum/program, GT or UGA? Do you need to graduate with a B.S. degree by the time you apply to med school or be on your way to completing the degree? Do medical schools look at course rigor?

I’d stick with UGA if pre-med is your main goal.

I’d go with GT. Med schools like to see people with different backgrounds, and the rigor of GT is great preparation for med school.

Recent grads from GT have gone onto med school at: Harvard, Emory, Vanderbilt, Duke, etc.

Here are a few:

GT would be the best bet IF you can keep a high gpa. I heard med schools really don’t care about the course rigor that much. That being said, UGA would be way safer if you want to be a doctor.
