If you check off that you are interested in pre-med
can you retract this decision later on??
/ is it at all helpful to check off that you are interested in pre-med/dental?

My roommate is pre-med. You can drop the distinction at any time. Pre-med isn’t a major simply a list of required courses you have to take to get into Med school, so don’t take the classes and you’re not pre-med. Really simple ![]()
I really don’t think it is going to help or hurt you application, but good luck!

is your roomate stressed out all the time…how competative and cut throat is pre med at gtown?

Right now were are in the middle of midterms so everyone is a little stressed.
She has a tough schedule, but it hasn’t taken over her life and is definitely not stressed all the time. She also is a varsity athlete (crew), and has done really well so far. One of my other good friends is in the SFS and Pre-med. That’s not exactly easy, but he is still pretty laid back. Both of them have social lives.
As far as cut throat, I’m not actually in her classes, so I can’t really say, but that isn’t the vibe I’ve gotten. They study in groups all the time in the common room and everyone I’ve met seems really down to earth. You probably will have a few crazy people in every program, but from what I’ve seen it isn’t the norm.

If it helps she is really happy and loves her professors.
