Pre-MED in Distress

Given that I have over 80 units, I am not too worried about registration post fall freshman year.

Uh, well you should be. I have priority registration and get 13 units first pass instead of 10 and I still can’t get into all the classes I want. You’re gonna have to learn how to adjust.

thanks. Which of the following would be a more difficult course-load? 14D, 6C, and LS4 or 6B 14CL, and LS4. Finally, are two sciences manageable, 3C, 14B, and BL, for instance?

Not getting into a class is not that big of a deal. I think I had at least 1 class every quarter during 1st-2nd yr where I wasn’t enrolled in the beginning of the class, but got in later anyway.

There is no good answer for “most difficult courseload”. This varies so much by who is teaching it. But in general, the physics classes have a lot nicer curve compared to the other pre-reqs.

You don’t need to take 14a in your first quarter. Many people don’t, and still finish by end of 2nd yr.

Avoiding chem 14a during fall quarter helps you avoid some of the more competitive pre-meds (the curve would be harder).

Caveat, I think 14D/6C/LS 4 would be an easier load because there’s no lab involved. 14CL itself is like 2 classes, and if you really have to take it with a science class, I would take it with 14C since there’s a lot of overlap between the two.
