Pre Med / Pre Dental

How is the pre med / pre dental here?

I am applying to Buffalo soon, and really want to know how it compares to Binghamton and Stony Brook.

On a scale of 1-10 what would you rate it, and do you think it does a good job in preparing you/ helps get you into medical or dental school.

Thanks.

Obviously the most important preparation has to come from you, but UB offers tons of resources in that area from what I’ve seen and heard of. They won’t hold your hand but help and advice is encouraged and available to the extent that you want/need it…this is true for all students, but especially the pre-professional tracks. You can check out some of the offerings from pre-health advising and the pre-health clubs here:

Very good… It is a difficult major- chem and bio are what you’d be taking your first semester and they are EXTREMELY challenging courses (esp. chem)… From “my” knowledge I would say Binghamton is the best, then UB and Stony Brook. But I may be wrong. You’d get a good education at either of the three- they are all SUNY University centers and offer a lot for their students, and obviously any of these schools will prepare you for a career in the health profession.
