I applied to Marquette University for the upcoming year and was just wondering how good their pre-med program is. I got postponed at Madison which was where i previously wanted to do pre-med, and i'd prefer to stay in state, but i'm also considering St. Louis University and University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Which would you guys reccomand and how good is MU's pre-med classes?

Marquette’s biomedical sciences program is outstanding and an excellent prep for med school. D knows people in that program as well as others who plan to be pre-med and are doing a more traditional liberal arts prep (degree in biology or chem through the liberal arts college rather than through biomedical sciences which is in the health sciences college.)
SLU is a very similar college experience to Marquette. I think your preference there would be more which campus you like better.
Keep in mind too that both SLU and Marquette are a fraction of the size of Madison and Minnesota. I would think I would rather pursue pre-med in a smaller environment. Both schools are of course more expensive than their state counterparts, considering you could get reciprocal tuition at Minnesota.
Younger D turned down Minnesota and SLU for Marquette – just liked it better.
Pre-med is really up to you – grades and hard work.
