Pre-Med Programs Georgetown/Cornell/Pitt/Drexel/Temple/Howard/York

I will be a senior this upcoming year in high school and I am trying to get my college list straightened out, so I can start my essays and applications. If anyone has any advice or info about the pre-med programs at the schools listed below, I'd be very grateful! thanks :)

Georgetown
Cornell
Drexel University
University of Pitt
Temple University
Howard Univeristy
York College

I believe each of those schools has a specific section on CC. You should post about each school on its respective page.

IWBB - We don’t allow individual postings for each school on a common topic.

^seriously? But that’s the most effective way to actually get that info.

Think about a kid who has a question which needs to be answered in 20 separate school forums and multiply that by a 100k.

I think that’s better than 100k threads in a place where the minority of viewers are actually capable of answering the question or where people answer the question based solely on stereotype.

Possibly but those are the rules. People don’t want a whole bunch of threads started by a few just like you don’t want to see the same question(s) repeated on premed forum by a thousand people.

Cornell - considered pretty tough for premeds to get good grades.

Georgetown - claims they have premeds in several different schools - it is split up into schools for admission (same as Cornell in terms of specific school admissions).

Drexel - Has many combined programs and more people apply for those than worrying about premed.

Pitt - considered hard for premeds to get good grades. Has a small combined program.

Temple has one combined program. Recently they started handing out presidential scholar scholarships (full tuition + some summer research money) for people with certain stats. They are creating an honors program to support people with an inclination to pursue advanced degrees. Also have some seats internally for a combined program.

I’m not debating what the rules are. Just stating my dissatisfaction with the rules.

So what makes you qualified to comment on the pre-med experiences at those schools?

I talk to many people that go to these colleges?

More importantly, they talk to me. :p
