Pre-Med question

Are there any students who major in Writing Seminars but are taking the pre-requisites for med schools as well?

I was wondering if it is a good idea because I have a passion for writing but I want to pursue medicine after college.

and also... what advantages would this have over a more traditional biology major... would I have more trouble on the MCAT?

thanks in advance

Question has been answered before and yes you can do writing sems as a pre-med. After all, where is the next Robin Cook supposed to come from? You still have all the pre-med requirements done to do well on the MCATs.

Ditto to what roberthhid said - you can major in absolutely anything and still fulfill the pre-med requirements, do well on the MCAT and get into medical school. I can't think of any Writing Sems pre-meds off the top of my head, but I do know at least one English pre-med, and a couple other humanist pre-meds, so it's not unheard of
