Pre-med question

Is it better to attend a more prestigious undergraduate school and then head off to a prestigious medical school or is it better to attend a less prestigious undergraduate school because usually, you can expect less competition? Also, what should high school students be doing their senior year in order to prepare for a career in the medical field?

Adding onto the OP's last question, can you count stuff you did in the summer after senior year of HS as EC activities when applying for med school?

According to what I learnt on CC, no you can't.

Yes, you can count stuff done in the summer right before starting college. I sure as heck counted it, and no one challenged me on it.

What we told you was that it wasn't crucial, not that it wouldn't count.
