Is it better to take the calculus-based physics or the general algebra-based physics in college to do better on the physical sciences portion of the MCAT?

Which college looks better as far as getting into medical school, Vanderbilt or UNC-Chapel Hill? I'm transferring as a sophomore. I know Vanderbilt is probably more prestigious but is it head and shoulders above?

I think that at UNC I will be able to get a higher gpa and there will be more opportunities for research and comm service, although at both universities I would make sure to take care of all 3 of those things but I doubt I'd have as much time for research and comm service while getting a 4.0 at vanderbilt if I can even manage that. My dad thinks that Vanderbilt's prestige will matter alot more in the med school process though if I can get the same gpa at both. I've found that UNC generally allows much more undergraduates to get involved with research, while its more a student-to-student basis at Vanderbilt maybe. There also seems to naturally be more service opportunities at UNC due to many more organizations but Nashville prob counteracts that; it'd just require more individual work in Nashville since it wouldn't be through the college. Is any of what I'm saying accurate?

How are the pre-med programs at both schools as far as preparing a student for the MCAT? If anyone has any advice or any insight about either school individually or in comparison, I'd really appreciate it. I already visited both but still having a difficult time making a decision.
