Pre Med Requirement taken in the summer

How do med schools feel about taking a pre med core class (orgo) over the summer? I've heard from some that they dont care much as long as its at your base school and I've heard from others that they dont care if it its over the summer as long as its at a 'credible institution' (similar to your base school, I assume). Still I've heard that med schools prefer all core courses be taken during the school year at the applicants base school

Any thoughts? comments? prior experiences?

Thanks

Med schools would prefer that the prereq's be taken over the school year at your normal college.

However, taking 1 or 2 over the summer is probably okay. But, if you take summer courses, med schools would, again, prefer that they either be at your normal college or a 4-year uni rather than a community college.

Does that mean if you take orgo over the summer at a CC you'll be automatically rejected? No. But, med schools would prefer to see otherwise.
