Which schools do you think have the strongest pre-med program and research opportunities for undergraduates? Among some of the schools I am looking at are Harvard, Northwestern, WashU, University of Rochester, UPenn, and Duke. Any other input for other schools would also be greatly appreiciated. Thanks!

Johns Hopkins obviously has a great pre-med program and undergrad research is widely encouraged/supported. All undergrads have the opportunity to preform research in literally hundreds of labs around campus

I definitely agree that Johns Hopkins has good premed and plenty of research opportunities. You might also want to add Columbia and Cornell to your list.

columbia and cornell have good pre-med programs?

All the schools on your list have good pre-med programs. They all provide research opportunities. U of Rochester has a new building for medical research and has been very successful recently in obtaining grant money. The U of R medical research building is adjacent to campus. Cornell and Columbia have excellent pre-med too, but Cornell's med school is in NYC, not Ithaca.
