I’m an incoming freshman. I have a couple of questions to the Pre-med students at UOP. How do you like the advising at Pacific? Would you say its easy to gain research opportunities? Where would be good places to gain clinical experience in Stockton?
If you can please answer these questions, if you want you can PM me the answers.
Depends on your adviser. Maxwell will flat out tell you whether or not he believes you even have a chance based on your numbers and activities. Research is easy to get especially for science majors. Clinical experience, look at local hospitals and clinics. You can work as an EMT if you get your emtb, shadow docs, volunteer, all are good ways to gain clinical experience. Worry about your science classes, Pacific science courses are no joke. Lots of freshman pre-meds won’t make it through their first year, they’ll drop or take heavy hits to their gpa, only the top students get A’s. UoP doesn’t have grade inflation.
