Pre-med students please read! I need your help!

Alright, I'm currently attending UCSB and I am trying to transfer to UCSD. As a pre-med major, what college are you guys attending? I don't want to go to Revelle. Are there any alternatives? My current selection is:
1. Warren
2. John Muir
3. Revelle
4. Sixth
5. Thurgood Marshall
6. Roosevelt
Thanks in advance!

You could do Warren, but it is more of an engineering school, as it is located close to most of the engineering classes. But Muir is great for pre-meds. Sixth is a little far from classes but has fun GEs. Marshall is also good.

Thanks for the response!

MORE of an engineering school means nothing. If you’re not an engineer than you’re not an engineer. Being in Warren does change that as opposed to being in any other college.

You can be pre-med in any college but I would pick the college that has the GEs you most want to take. I would take a look at this to get a good idea.

when people say your choice of college doesn’t matter, it’s true. the only factors that differentiate between the colleges are general education requirements and location. Since you’re going to be a transfer, you’ll live in the village which is brand new. then to choose your college, just look at the GEs and see what you like to do more. in general, revelle and ERC have the hardest and most GEs while muir is the most lax.

I am currently a freshman at Revelle and I really like it here! everyone is really chill. if you have anymore questions you can ask

p.s being pre-med at revelle is a plus because all of Revelle’s GEs are a part of pre-med requirements and more (humanities for english requirement, calculus requirement, core science requirements, etc…)

Oops. I meant DOESN’T change that. Hopefully that was apparent by the context though.

Honestly, the college you choose doesn’t matter. The only difference is the GE’s. That being said, Revelle and ERC have more GE’s than say Muir. Not all the GE’s will necessarily be relevant to you. For example, med schools do not require the extensive amount of writing classes Revelle and ERC require you to take.

OOh this is exactly my question! But I put Muir first. Im trying to decide whether to put warren or marshall second for pre-med. I’m a cognitive science major!
