Which SUNY would you say is more geared towards Pre-med? We're originally from NY but now live in FL. My S wants to go to NY for college but I can't remember which SUNY is geared for Pre-med. Thanks.

Bumpin up.

Stony Brook. It’s a no brainer.

Geneseo…even though it is a LAC the science programs are very strong.

Thanks. I figured it was Stony Brook but not sure. Thanks again.

[Binghamton University - Academics: Schools and Colleges: Harpur Advising: Pre-Health](Pre-Health Professions Advising | Pre-health | Binghamton University)

Check out SUNY Binghamton. Hope your son has a strong HS curriculum (AP’s), high GPA, and solid SAT scores. SUNYs rely heavily on these three things when reviewing applications for admission.

Geneseo and Binghamton are the hardest to get into and generally have the highest stats for their incoming students. Given medical schools require high GPAs and MCAT scores, I would say these two schools probably have a higher percentage of pre-med students and medical school acceptance rates than other SUNY’s. So they likely have a better pre-med major/process already in place.

Stony Brook definitely
