Pre-med Transfer Dilemma; Summer Advising

Hello,

To fulfill my premedical requirements, I need to take the biology and organic chemistry series and only physics 8b.

I would like to finish these courses so that I can focus on other major requirements and prepare for the MCAT ect.

However, I am unsure as to whether I should take chemistry 3A/L this summer or physics 8B.

I want to get physics taken care of so I do not have to worry about it during the regular term, however, the prerequisite for biology 1A seems to be chem 3A, which would not allow me to finish the biology series within the next year.

If I do take chem 3A/L and English N135 this summer, would it be too harsh of a schedule to take bio, chem 3B, physics 8B, and a major related course in the fall?

Thank you all for your help and any other constructive input.

It sounds like Chem 3A would be the best option for you, so you can stay on track and keep a lighter load while completing requirements during the fall semester. You could try doing two requirements during the semester if the times work out because for me at least, I always have more time than needed.

That is probably my best bet.

However I am concerned that I may not recall too much from my mechanics course for physics 8B if I take it in the spring.

Can anybody comment as to the amount of knowledge from physics “8A/Mechanics” that is required to be successful in 8B?

Thanks again.

pretty light and a brief look through notes or online as a refresher is enough.
