<p>Med school interviews can be blind. By the time the candidates are selected for interview, they have met all academic thresholds (GPA, MCAT) and the interview is to “see if you think this person would be a good doctor” </p>

<p>In the interview, quiet confidence (not arrogance), consideration, an interest in helping others, dedication to the field, eye contact, social ease, and willingness to listen, trumps brilliant discoveries, a perfect MCAT or GPA. That is how medical school interviewers are trained. Basic question, would you want this person as your doctor?</p>

<p>such a common sense question that would be in interviewers’ heads, yet I wonder how many applicants are thinking that’s being considered during their interviews?</p>
