Do you think that one would have an easier time being accepted if one were to apply as a poli sci or philosophy major, rather than a hard science or pre-med major?

To Wash U for undergrad? No it doesn’t make a difference.

What about as a rising junior transfer student?

Doesn’t matter what you’re applying to. All are in the school of arts and sciences.

But is an SAT II test in science or math as important to a prospective political science major as it is to a pre-med person?

If you are a junior transfer, I don’t think they’ll even look at your high school stuff.
Wash U doesn’t even require SAT II tests to begin with…I doubt they’ll look at them for a junior transfer (although likely will consider it for a sophomore).
What matters for junior transfers is your first two years of grades.

Again, it doesn’t matter what your intended undergraduate major is. This is not used in anyway to determine acceptance for anyone.

I’ve been searching on Google and CC for WashU’s most recent common data set, without much luck. Do you know anything about average GPA’s or test scores or admissions rates?
