I got into University Honors and I was wonder how the premed program is at UMD. Does Maryland do well with medical school acceptance? How is the advising? If someone could respond with an overview of how premed is at umd, that would be great. Thanks!

Hi,

Check out the Reed Yorke PreMed Advising office at Maryland:

If you can get to an admitted student day open house,

by all means, attend the pre-med/pre-dental seminar. I went to this seminar while my daughter was attending another seminar that was being held at the same time slot. They gave us a sheet listing all the prerequisites and all the classes at Maryland that meet the prerequisites. This sheet was very useful as the prerequisites are now aligned with the changes in the new MCAT that will be used in 2015.

We also heard from a student panel at the seminar and it was very interesting.
