I was just curious if it was possible to get into medical school from a poor undergraduate college with say an average SAT of 1050(math and CR only). If they did well on the MCAT and all could they get in?

I don't think I am in this boat at all, but I was just curious if it could happen in theory. Anybody know anyone that has done this?

Yeah I know, but I was simply using the SAT to measure the caliber of the undergraduate school. I meant to say that the college had an average SAT of 1050.

Sure. Because you have to do well on the MCAT, people who get 1050 SAT do not often get into med school. However, for any given individual, the undergraduate school is FAR less important than how they do there. As long as the school is prepared to offer a good premed education people get into medical school.
