sorry if this is a bad question. i’ll be going to BU as a biology major and i was wondering if pre-med at BU was a separate major? isn’t pre-med just the courses you need for med school? i’m just wondering.

Pre-med is not a seperate major. It's more of a track that you follow along with your major to make sure you take everything you need to take.

There is a pre-med advising service and webpage.

I was honestly wondering the same thing. I'm entering BU as a bio major, but I'm interested in going premed, but I think that there really isn't a separate major/program for students like us. It just means we have to take specific courses that are required for med school. But then, I could always be wrong...

thank you guys for the response. i just wanted to double check cause i always knew it was just the courses you take that make up a pre-med track. i read someone on here or some other board refer to premed as a separate major and i freaked out hahaha. cindi_earl, glad to know i wasn't the only one wondering about it =]
