Does CMU have a pre-med program or something along the lines of that?
I know it doesn't have a medical program...

CMU doesn't have a medical program and we don't have a pre-med major/minor. However, there is a program called Health Professions Program (HPP) that all the students students considering entering any medical field (including pharmacy, dentistry, etc.) are usually a part of. You just sign up for it anytime, and basically, the program has an advisor (the head of the bio dept.) and there's a list of courses that you should take if you want to go into any health profession. They also coordinate info sessions on the MCAT and how to apply, i believe (that could be another club, called DOCS, but either way, it exists)
There are many students at CMU who are "pre-med," and basically, you major in whatever you want and take these additional classes.

Hey i just have a question to add to this...Exactly how strong is cmu's pre-med? It seems like the undergrads with good pre-med programs are those that have a medical school. But do medical schools highly value cmu's pre-med...sayy compared to emory's?
