<p>im currently considering going for pre-med at stony. I have heard about the tough science courses there. im just kinda confused about all the premed things there. do you have to apply to take pre med courses or is it like a course that everybody can take? in stony brook website, they claim to have 73% acceptance rate to med schools, is it true? if yes, then is it only the acceptance rate for pre med students or the school as whole? also, i have heard the intro courses (general bio and chems) have more than 500 students in it, when you get to higher courses, what is a typical class size? i have done researches at columbia for the past two years in hs, so research is definitely a thing to do for me, is it easy to get a research internship at stony?
