hi, i am a high school junior who is thinking of going into the medical field, and Columbia for pre med. i am the type of student who does put much time into studying but gets good grades. my gpa is a 4.2. i was just wondering what i should do if i want to get into Columbia, (starting now), and if they have a good pre med program (in terms of medical school acceptance rates)
any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks

There are plenty of threads discussing getting into columbia, but as far as Columbia for pre-med it is a great institution for that. There’s a very vibrant pre-med society that brings all sorts of speakers in, there’s a hospital next door and a billion others nearby affiliated with the medical school. Like most top schools, they have a high acceptance rate. To be fair, that has more to do with the quality of the students, but I know people like to hear it.
