What is the best track toward getting into med school from Texas A&M? Should I major in Biomedical science, or perhaps Chemistry. Also, does anyone know the success rate of medical school applicants from Texas A&M or job opportunities relating to Biomedical Science if I decide not to attend Med School?

I don't necessarily know the overall acceptance stats, they "shouldn't" matter.

But neither should your major.
Med Schools don't care what you major in. In fact, they like the idea of you majoring in something non-science like because they know you'll devote the rest of your life to science so it's better to get experience in something else now. Choose a Major you like, we have programs that'll get you set up well no matter what. 100% of our Music majors get accepted to Med School (there's been 4 of those).

Now, I'm pre-med. If I could just dive into whatever major I wanted, I would choose philosophy, but how is philosophy going to help me on the MCAT? or in my job? It won't. I'm a BIO major, and I enjoy it, although I hear Biomedical is easier.

In terms of Job opportunities, it all depends on you. Personally, I studied to get my Pharmacy Technician Certification outside of school out of a book and now I have the chance to work at a hospital Pharmacy. Chem to Bio to BIMS isn't going to make much difference if you're going into the health field.

Whooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooo
I just got into medical school yesterday- 4 pre-match offers! :-)
Just want to let you know that I was History and Psyc- so do what you want! It's about having a passion for your subject, not about doing what you think is the usual path.
Just wanted to share the happiness!

my uncle went to tamu and graduated 96?
