For those premeds who could not take chem 6ABC due to AP scores, did you take 6BH and 6CH before going into upper division chemistry? If not, how hard was upper div chemistry without preparation from lower div classes?

med schools don't accept ap scores so even though ucsd gives you credit for those classes, u still need to take them if you wanna go to med school.

yea, i would just take the honors classes, otherwise you'll just have to take more upper division classes so that you somehow get a full year's worth of "general chemistry"...

But, I checked UCSF's med school req., and they say that they do accept AP credits.
Is this limited to just UCSF? so MOST of the med schools don't accept AP credits (this also goes for bio, right?)?

It's hit or miss with schools. The best thing you can do is spend a day looking at the requirements of medical schools. Each school, each website. Look at the top fifteen, middle fifteen, bottom fifteen. Than see if the majority do, or if there is some pattern.
