In the past, it seems like the dates for International Student Orientation and the preorientation programs overlapped. If I want to attend both, is there a way that I can? has anyone done both before? I know people say that ISO can be a waste of time, but I do want to attend.

Some of the same things from ISO are repeated at regular orientation and a lot of the things are optional - so you can go to ISO and just skip things if they conflict with something from regular orientation. ISO is a fun way to meet other international students and a nice way to move in a few days early before the rush.

Nevermind - I see you are talking about the Penn Quest/Arts/Corps type programs - depending on how much they overlap you could still participate in any ISO things that dont conflict. The only problem will be if you are required to go to ISO

thanks for your input shanghaimom, but I’m asking if I could possibly do both the pre-orientation (not NSO) and ISO. Doing both NSO and ISO are not a problem; their dates don’t conflict.
