I most likely will be able to come, but since I'm still not sure exactly where i'm staying saturday and sunday my attendance is subject to change. I'm goin with another guy from MMI and we're gonna stay with his sponsor family and check out colorado springs and possibly denver. Hopefully, i'll still be able to make it.

Hey - I am new to all of this also, but count me in if there is still room. I should be in C.Springs Sunday afternoon. We are staying at the Hampton Inn. My g-parents might be having dinner with someone else and just dropping me off... not sure at this point. If they come, we're a group of three. Thanks for setting this up...Great idea!

There is plenty of room, so dont worry about that. At Red Robbins you dont need a reservation, so you can just show up at 5 30 and we'll all be there. :).

just thought i'd through this out. at 2:30 on Sunday April 22, the Academy Catholic Cadet Choir (aka, me) is giving a concert at St Mary's Catholic Cathedral in C-springs. If you're in town and will just be sitting around, then feel free to come (yes its free). We're performing the Hayden with the C-Springs Youth Symphony. The info on the church is:

Colorado Springs, CO

If you ahve questions about coming, message me or what not. See you Sunday either way!

My flight comes in on the 22nd at 10:08 am, but im going alone so i dont have transportation, however if i find a way i'll try to go to the choir thingi, I will be staying at the Best Western The Academy Hotel

8110 N Academy Boulevard
Colorado Springs, Colorado
80920-3904, United States

dont know if that is remotely close to anything though...

o wow... ok i just looked everything up on Google earth and, i really can just walk to red robins, I think i will. is there anyone else staying at Best Western The Academy Hotel? maybe we could get a big group of people to just walk and save tress or something idk...

The church looks about 10 miles away though, so i probably won't be able to make it... but good luck with the concert anyways, eagle36.

Most people stay at the academy hotel, you'll probably see many people.

O ya, so who can come up to the academy to grab me for dinner?

I can get a ride to dinner, but I need a ride back.

Actually, I think I'll be fine getting there as well, just need a ride back like G4C

I'm pretty sure we can take you guys back. I'll verify that though and let you know.

well i'm taling right now with choir peeps cause i dunno how long the concert is. if its supposed to be too late by the time we ride back, i'm goiong to see if i can drive a car to the concert then dinner, in which case i might be able to give you a ride back. i goota get replys though.

I'm from Denver, so I'm sure I could help out in the transportation dept. if need be...just lemme know!

And I'd like to know how long the concert is too!

Thanks

lol, bnanaroberts is from denver too, she drove me down for the first orientation.

yes sir i did! and i think i may be joining for this dinner...to meet some more of you guys and just hang out and whatnot. so, hornetguy and G4C and eagle...you know i'll gladly drive you. just gotta make a final check with the parents right quick.

Well I know I can, so I guess will have to flip a coin to c who gets to take the VIPs home..haha. So this is fun Bri, I'm now cn if your going both here and on facebook..lol.

As one of the Orientation Dinner guys from the 16/17th session, I suggest that someone bring along some peel-n-stick name tags for everyone to use at the dinner. Everyone knew each other's "forum names" but not real ones, so that would be my suggestion for having a great dinner....

BTW - while the dinner / conversation was great, I really liked the fact that later, during orientation, you occasionally saw a familiar face in the crowd. :) Many of us hung out together for other lunches / dinners, and the kids even ditched us for a movie Sunday night after the meal. All in all, a great way to bond before heading into the long breifings and tours...

Hey- we can transport people back...no problem! We can figure it all out when we get there! If anyone needs a ride to Red Robin, just let us know on here before Sat.!

Dknightfam -- Brilliant idea - nametags. We did the dinner last year for the 2010 crowd and i really wish we had had those. Maybe post real name and your CC "handle"! ;)
