hey guys,
i’m an incoming first year at uchicago for the class of 2023, and a few weeks ago i applied to one of the preorientation programs set to take place right before o-week. the results are expected to come out this friday. does anyone know how selective these programs are? i would like to temper my expectations now! thanks
My daughter also applied for one of the Chicago-based pre-orientation program. At one of the admitted student events this past April a question was asked at the pre-orientation seminar about the selectivity of these programs. The answer was vague, but they said that in the event the program you are applying for is full, they will try and work with the student to find another program with openings that might work. That’s all that was said, so who knows. As a parent, I’m getting a little antsy because I don’t know my daughter’s move in date yet. If she participates in one of these programs she will be moving up to Chicago the week prior to the official move-in day.
@lilchaz the results just came out and i got in! i hope your daughter can say the same!
@carey46 Congrats! Which program are you attending? My daughter still hasn’t received anything Did you get your results through your portal, uchicago email, or personal email?
Never mind! My daughter received her decision. Apparently it was in her email through outlook, and she hadn’t set her outlook up yet. She did get accepted into CUE.
